On Friday 20th April, we were extremely lucky to be able to participate in a storytelling workshop with author Richard O'Neill.
Mr O'Neill explained that all his story writing begins with the lead character, and he showed us how to develop the idea of a new character by imagining how they would move and talk. We practised introducing ourselves in the guise of several different characters - from an excited toddler to a talking robot!
It was great fun and the children learnt a great deal about how to develop their own character descriptions in their writing.
